"Stormriders Wanted: A Navigator’s Guide to the Chaos Era"
How to Steer Through Collapse, Seize the Means of Perception & Reclaim Your Mind
The storm isn’t on the horizon—it’s already crashing over the bow. The waves rise, the winds howl, and the map of what we thought was stable is already being swallowed by the tide.
For those of us who have trained our nervous systems in the art of navigating uncertainty, this is the moment we’ve been preparing for. For those who haven’t—there’s still time to claim your compass and brace for the ride. This isn’t just about personal resilience. It’s about collective survival. The tides of history are shifting, and whether we find ourselves shipwrecked or steering toward a new horizon depends on how well we adapt.
Your best shot? Expand your nervous system’s capacity for uncertainty, paradox, and adaptability.
This will help avoid falling into loops of fear, reactivity, or paralysis. And that’s where the 8 Circuits Map comes in.
1. The Storm is Here: Understanding the Rise of Entropy
Chaos is just a force of evolution. Entropy is neither good nor bad—it’s raw, unformed energy. How you wield it depends on how well you can navigate uncertainty.
Pluto has entered Aquarius and what astrologist mean by this: Rapid Transformation through the portal of a collective Underworld Initiation to propel us into the next civilization configuration by adapting to revolutionary technology.
Our world is an interwoven web of complex systems—ecosystems, social structures, nervous systems—each striving for homeostasis, that fragile balance we call stability. But when disruption hits the happy camper hard and fast, systems spiral into what theorists call an entropy spike.
Sounds familiar? No? Let’s break it down a bit:
Sudden increase of instability, volatility, disorder and unpredictability: The Waves of Chaos in the bigger system will throw your nervous system off balance.
Information overload and disorientation: The torrents of information and velocity of technological shifts create a hurricane of WTF’s and lead to a breakdown of sense-making capacity and cognitive overwhelm. The ability to plan, predict, and trust reality erodes.
Institutional breakdown and crisis fatigue: When crisis mode starts getting overwhelming and daddy government aint coming to save us, two choices appear to fill the void: Cling to rigid control structures (dogma, fascism, conspiracy theories) or drop out with your favorite escapism pill (nihilism, doomerism, hedonic numbing).
Increased emotional system dysregulation: When it gets to much to bear, you get to face all the internal waves of emotional Chaos - fear, anger, helplessness, and the whole gang of gremlins with their shitty coping mechanism of reactivity, tribalism, antagonism, and other instinctual responses that prevent you from accessing long term vision and executive functions. In the end, your nervous system short-circuits. Overloaded. Frozen. Not because you’re weak—but because no one ever taught you how to surf the storm.
Acceleration of extremes: when things get emotional and we cannot hold our sovereignty, we seek either the “strong men” solution "Give me the wheel, I’ll fix everything." (Fascism rises). Or the rebellion instinct kicks in and we seek radical liberation: "Burn it all down, we’ll build something new." (Anarchy awakens). Fascist uprisings and anarchist movements represent two sides of the same coin here.
Collapse: At some point destructive disorder takes over, the system collapses and things get really uncomfortable. But this is also a blank slate to rewire the system into a new way of being. This applies to all levels of the system. The bigger the crisis, the bigger the opportunity for radical change.
This will feel like a multidimensional attack on your nervous system!
The structures that have held the world together for centuries? Crumbling.
Or rather—getting chainsawed apart by megalomaniacs self-medicating with ketamine.
This isn’t just a storm—it’s a controlled demolition. The chaos is real, but the collapse? That’s being engineered. .
When structures break down faster than new ones can emerge, systems go into crisis mode and seek for viable and rapid solutions to recreate some version of stability at any cost. This moments of high entropy have the potential for massive systemic reorganization. And the pendulum can swing either into authoritarian control systems or into more decentralized sovereign networks.
That’s why, in times of entropy, the most valuable thing you own is your ability to regulate your nervous system. Without this skill you will be forced into survival mode.
Here’s the hard truth:
A nervous system that can’t handle entropy will trade freedom for certainty at any turn. This is how fascist movements gain traction—by offering the illusion of control in a sea of chaos (sometimes of their own creation).
A nervous system that can’t integrate change will collapse under the weight of uncertainty. Leading to paralysis, apathy, and passive surrender.
So what’s the alternative?
We don’t fight the storm. We ride it. Intense change is happening and we cannot stop it. Even if we still have a chance to stop a fascist take over, the rest of the disruptive shitstorm is still coming.
Best we can do is increase or nervous systems flexibility, adaptability and capacity to hold uncertainty, ambiguity and paradox. Fully embrace the chaotic waves of change and find a way to surf them.
As entropy spikes, the game changes. When people lose orientation, control systems step in to offer fake stability. But real sovereignty doesn’t come from clinging to collapsing structures—it comes from learning to navigate the shifting tides yourself. That’s where nervous system mastery, perception hacking, and map-making come into play.
The 8-Circuit Model is a Meta-Map for Navigating Entropy—helping explorers shift between survival, creativity, and higher cognition without getting stuck in any one loop. This isn’t about bracing for impact. It’s about riding the chaos, harnessing its power, and steering toward the world we want to build.
Of course this is not the only available map. Just the one I have found most useful for integrating chaos magick and psychonautics.
2. Claiming Your Inner Territory: The Power of Nervous System Expansion
Part of why we’re in this mess is that we’ve only just begun to understand our own nervous systems—while those orchestrating the current power grab are running on emotionally stunned circuitry, incapable of empathy.
Hurt people hurt people. Dysregulated nervous systems create dysregulated societies.
If we want a shot at building regenerative civilization utopias out of this Chaos, we need to cultivate our capacity to stay present, regulated, and responsive instead of reactive.
This is a radical act. It is also a high level quest.
At this point, if you do not claim your inner territory, your nervous system will get hijacked and reprogrammed into techno-feudal servitude. Techno-feudalism doesn’t come with chains—it comes with infinite scroll, algorithmic dopamine cycles, and digital credit systems that condition your behavior without you noticing. And this is just the level we are already playing at. Factor in AI, virtual reality, neuralink brain chips and total control over the access of digital infrastructure. It will become much more difficult to play the game of liberation from there.
But here’s the thing—they don’t win just because they tighten the cage. They win when you forget you can still escape. The moment you realize that every system is hack-able, every belief re-programmable, and every map rewrite-able—you stop being a pawn and start playing the game on your own terms.
If you want to stay in the game, now is the time to claim your turf!
Those folks that have been playing on the edges of exis-dance for a while - chaos magicians, psychonauts, tricksters and other edge-dwellers – have an evolutionary advantage here, because we have been training our nervous system to deal with uncertainty. For some of us, the price of learning to surf chaos was paid in exile from belonging, long rides into the Desert of Insanity, and wave after wave of massive ego bitch-slaps. The tax? A permanent malus in the game of “functioning” in polite society.
Whether you’ve been training in chaos navigation for years, or you’re just now realizing the storm is real—there’s a place for you on this deck.
The Eight-Circuit Model provides a structured approach to expanding nervous system capacity without losing ourselves to overwhelm.
3. The Map & Compass: Re-framing the 8-Circuit Model as a Tool for Chaos Navigation
I’ve grown fond of mapping this model onto a Chaos Star grid. It makes one thing clear: there is no hierarchy—only interaction. The circuits constantly influence one another, and true mastery lies in their balance.
If you are familiar with this model, you might notice that I have changed the names for each circuit. This is something Antero Alli encouraged his students to do, to fully claim this model for their own.
Usually in this model the circuits are divided into lower or survival circuits and higher or expansion circuits. The “lover circuits” build the neural networks with which our brain develops strategies to meet our need for biological, emotional, conceptual, and social survival. They are often associated with left-brain functions. The “higher circuit” represent rather states of expanded consciousness that challenge the order of the usual navigational modus operandi. This states usually are accessed through psycho-spiritual initiations, peak experiences dealt to you by the wacky card dealers at the Game of Life, or psychedelic substances.
From my experience working with clients and observing my weirdo friends, many of those labeled 'neuro-spicy' seem to be running higher circuits by default. But running them without grounding, structure, or recognition? That’s not an advantage—it’s playing the Game on Hard Mode with no blueprint to integrate alternative perception configurations.
We’re running evolutionary mutations with no developmental maps—because someone decided Leary was too woo-woo to be taken seriously. And when there’s no role for your brain’s unique wiring in the social world? Dysregulation isn’t a failure—it’s an inevitability.
Access to higher circuits isn’t inherently an advantage—it’s the ability to regulate and navigate them that makes the difference. Without grounding, they can be just as much a trap as a tool.
The Eight-Circuit Model is not just a psychological model or developmental model—it’s a framework for keeping your bearings when reality gets weird and it offers perspectives on cognitive functions that go way into trans-personal territories.
Each circuit represents a layer of perception and response to the world. They map ordinary and what some would call “extra-ordinary” realms of experiencing.
But those who play the Game of Liberation are not the only ones using this model.
Every spin doctor, social media engineer, cult leader, and fascist strategist knows the game: hijack the circuits that crave safety, control, coherence, and belonging. Intelligence agencies and gangs of technocrats know how to play this game. This model is also used by them as a manual for brainwashing people into compliance.
The recipe is fairly easy:
C1: Trigger Bio-Survival Panic. Strip people of their ability to secure food, shelter, and stability. Once activated, higher cognition goes offline—leaving only fear, anxiety, or desperation.
C2. Hijack the emotional response system: Create scenarios of high uncertainty so people divert either looking for a strong man or go into anger fueled rebellion without access to strategic thinking. Then bully them into submission by making them feel overwhelmed and powerless. Make them work for your approval.
C3. Confuse their thinking: Create a situation of information overflow, a web of misleading narratives, disinformation and other mindfucks, and then feed a fabricated story that will offer the illusion of coherence.
C4. Break down social bonds: Isolate people, break down institutions, shake up identity constructs and by all means, control the means of reproduction. Offer only cookie-cutter identity formats and social roles people can play in order to have access to the social and economic games.
And if you want to maintain control over this circuitry, prevent them from using liberation techniques, accessing their body wisdom, their sexual power and their access to meta-levels of reality experience which are represented in the “Higher Circuits”.
Navigating Chaos requires us to ground ourselves in our survival circuits, claim them by dismantling the conditioned programming by accessing the altered states, creating windows of neuroplasticity and making intentional choices of re-programming to expand our cognitive capacity without getting overwhelmed.
True sovereignty means expanding perception without losing grounding. Opening the “higher circuits” or experimenting with psychedelics alone don’t do the trick—without stability in the lower circuits, you’re just more susceptible to a different flavor of programming. You gotta open your mind without your brain falling out. Stay anchored—in your body, your emotional sovereignty, your sharp critical intellect, and your crew. Otherwise, you risk getting lost in the sauce of concocted narratives… or worse, drowning in your own delusions.
When we get more intimate with our nervous-systems functioning, the programs running our mind, and the automatic responses that we usually get to external stimuli, we gain the levels of awareness that allows us to witness from which circuit we are operating and allows us to make conscious shifts creating opportunities for more aligned responses.
Your nervous system is a ship. Understanding your circuits? That’s how you claim the captain’s hat. A ship with no captain drifts at the mercy of the storm—or worse, gets hijacked.
4. ChaoSurfing 101: How to Stay Oriented When Everything Feels Like Too Much
Aye, dear stormriders. If you’ve made it this far, you probably already feel the entropy currents shifting. You know this isn’t just a metaphor—it’s a high-stakes battle over your mind, your nervous system, and the means of perception.
And I can already hear you thinking—“Great, cool metaphors. But how the fuck do we actually navigate this?”
That’s where the Map comes in. I’m talking about a map of the elusive territories of the mind itself—one designed for surfing chaos instead of being wrecked by it.
This isn’t just any map.
I crafted and hand-painted it as a navigational tool and a spell.
The realization landed after an acid trip. The map is not the territory. But the model is a map.
It charts The Eight Territories of the Mind and The 8 Seas of Chaos.
It reveals the elusive landscapes we traverse, the shifting tides between Order and Disorder, and the Islands of Magick where we can level up our navigational skills.
I started with this first one and then got trapped in a manic hyperfocus process for 4 months, drawing until I ran out of dopamine. Spend about 2 months in a flat tide of “I cannot get anything done" and then set a deadline for an exposition to create the urgency needed for my ADHD brain to finish the mapping project. It took me 9 months to complete.
Now that the baby is born. I wanna share them in a meaningful way and used them to build storytelling lore.
This map won’t give you control over Chaos—but it will show you where you stand inside it. And once you know that? You get to make your next move.
If all of this feels overwhelming, that’s part of the process. Learning to navigate chaos starts with accepting that you won’t always know where you stand—but you can learn.
As the Game World based on this map unfolds through the stories we weave and the Quests we propose, you get a chance to collect the tools, the insights, and the support systems to fully claim your Captains hat.
Some teasers of the Basic Survival Tactics for ChaoSurfing:
C1: Your breath is your anchor! Your breath is your anchor. When a technocratic fascist takeover threatens bio-survival, it’s not a metaphor—it’s life and death for millions. Not only the the rising numbers of dispossessed, but also the millions of people that will be discarded, deported or worse. Safety becomes an inside job. Work with your body. Breath, move, cuddle with your friends. This is your lifeline when things spiral and you find yourself in fight/flight/freeze loops. No Panic on the Titanic!
C2: Emotional processing! Find space to move the feels. All of them. Let them run through. Find someone who can hold space and help you contain if you fear overwhelm. The more you bottle up or numb down, the easier your emotional system gets hijacked into reactivity. Know where you stand and whats important to you. Find a way to channel that emotional charge into action or creativity. Ride that wave instead of only letting it wash over you. Your emotions are raw kinetic energy in motion. Learn to steer the charge instead of being dragged by the current.
C3: Collective Sensemaking: Keep your mind sharp, your sense-making sharper. If your reality checks never bounce outside your echo chamber, you’re just playing a different flavor of the same game. Your logbook is your friend, get familiar with your narratives and take authorship over the stories you tell yourself about you and the world around you. Examine the stories sold to you, what action do they inspire or instigate you to take. Double check with your emotional and value system before taking action.
C4: Find the Others! Put your freak-quency out there and find your own Lunatic Lifeboat Crew (I am still looking to complete mine). Build strong networks of care and support and find ways of authentic relating in embodied states, outside the digital realms. And allow community to witness your grief!
C5: Stay playful! I know, shit feels really serious right now. But do not allow anyone to take away your capacity for wonder and play. Your access to pleasure, awe and wonder are your birthright. No matter how shitty the bullies on the Playground behave, there is still beauty and delight to be had on this world. Find it and enjoy it in every moment of presence.
C6: Clear your Energy! It gets easy to absorb all the energetic shit been thrown around. Find practices to maintain energetic boundaries. Lean into Uncertainty, make Paradox your ally, and find a way to wield humor as a tool for appreciating the multidimensional absurdity of it all. The trickster thrives where the rigid mind breaks.
C7: Own your Myth! Find discernment between getting lost in your imagination vs opening new doors of perception. In an age of evolving networked consciousness and emerging non-human intelligence, mixed reality and blurred lines in the fields of perception, find the maps and stories that keep you anchored in some sense of sanity.
C8: Embrace Impermanence! The time for gradual change has passed, dramatic change is knocking on our door. Allow yourself to grief what is dissolving and getting lost. All the identities and structures you have build to navigate this world might be obsolete soon. Embrace the ever-shifting fluidity of it all and remember. We are all going to die. Sooner or later. But until then, we get to play.
And overall practice awareness. Notice when your nervous systems or the ones of the people around you get dysregulated:
When you’re panicked, paranoid, or lashing out, ground.
When you’re numb, detached, or spiraling into nihilism, reignite.
When you’re dissociating into cosmic woo without practical action, anchor.
We cannot escape the waves of Chaos coming our way. We can get comfortable within our selves, so we have capacity to surf them with intention.
Coming Up Next:
This Map is just the beginning.
In the next posts, we’ll zoom into each of the 8 Territories—breaking down the tools, tricks, and state-shifting techniques you can use to decode your circuits and seize the means of perception.
But before that, let’s talk about why a well-regulated pirate crew is the real revolutionary force.
5. Hoisting the Colors: Why gathering a Crew of Pirate Captains is a Revolutionary Act
Historically, pirates emerged whenever empires cast people out of the new order. When the ruling class hoarded wealth and shut people out from land, trade, or resources, piracy wasn’t just rebellion—it was survival. And a way to keep playing the Game.
The other possibility is to play the lynch mob game and rally under the banner of “auf die Barrikaden”. A violent revolution might take the heads of the oligarchs, but what then?
It also will bring more destruction, blood and pain.
And if we take a look at the outcome of such revolutions, we see that when the wave of violence has passed, the tyrants are gone, so is the capacity to rebuild. The energy for re-creation is burned up in the fire of revolt.
History doesn’t belong to the strongest. It belongs to those who can stay clear-headed when the world is falling apart.
Right now, panic is currency, and fear is the leash. Authoritarian systems don’t need you to believe in them—they just need you too stressed to resist, too exhausted to organize, too overwhelmed to think clearly.
Having the capacity to regulate your nervous system, to stay grounded and with access to your meta-cognitive skills, makes you harder to manipulate.
If you don’t crumble at fear campaigns, they can’t push you into compliance.
If you don’t short-circuit in uncertainty, you can outmaneuver those who do.
If you stay playful, adaptable, and strategic, you are a threat to any system that thrives on control.
Those who claim captainship over their inner world can chart new waters, far from empire control. They can gather, regroup, and plan—not just to sabotage the old systems, but to seed new ones. Autonomous Zones. Sanctuary spaces. Regenerative culture. New blueprints for consciousness.
It’s time to revive the Pirate Paradigm—not for torrenting movies, but for fighting back against the mind-colonizers of the empire.
To hold the line we need a capable crew. One that supports each others in regulating our nervous system, that moves with strategy instead of reaction, that can play the Games of Liberation for themselves, while liberating the others we encounter.
We need a Crew that can bring up the flexibility and adaptability to ride through the storm, to seize the means of perception, to build arks and sanctuaries for the resistance, and can build Game Worlds on their own terms, writing their own code.
This is why its going to be a pirate life for me.
I am still looking to gather my Lunatic Life Boat Crew. So far I have found some top notch weirdos whom I can see myself navigating this strange tides with.
If you feel like you’re barely staying afloat, but something inside you knows there’s another way to move through the storm—you’re not alone. This isn’t just for already captains; anyone who wants to be a captain, needs to be a good be a good supporting pirate in the crew as well, it’s for those ready to learn the way of the chaos seas.
Ahoy for now and see you next week, where I will be going deeper into the Balance between the Blue and the Red Map.
In Chaos we trust
Captain Mavis
And speaking of building something better, wilder, and way more fun…here comes some shameless propaganda for my payed offerings:
Join the Crew: The Pippilotta is Setting Sail on the Equinox
If this all speaks to you—if you feel the pull to train your nervous system for what’s coming, to claim your own reality, and to ride the waves instead of being swallowed by them—then I’ve got two invitations.

The map is drawn. The storm is here. The future belongs to those who take the wheel. Are you ready to steer?
🏴☠️ See you on deck.
Thanks for your thoughtful and encouraging reply! Indeed we can gather the Crews from all over the world.
Funny synchronicity with Mars and Jupiter! Can you drop me a link please. Will take a look tomorrow and see what I feel inspired to integrate in Thursday's ritual.
Now I needs to sleep. It's almost 5 am.
I procrastinated bed time to write this piece and I have a tattoo appointment to finish my dragon tomorrow.
Nit good for C1 no sleep and then poking my bodies with needles.
I am also practicing keeping up.with the teachings of this model and sometimes don't drink my own medicine.
Ahoy!
I just want to compliment you on your post and the wisdom with which you are charting the course. This is exactly what we need and I appreciate those who are able to see clearly and not become reactive when the most human thing to do is to be reactive. Your map is awesome, super nice work. Even have an isle of Jupiter for expansion. I've been working with Jupiter based on intuition as much of my practice is intuitive, it's difficult for me to trust outside of myself but your work speaks to me in a way that many others work doesn't. I believe it's the authenticity that shines through, and the integrity of staying out of the reactionary waters which are enticing but dangerous. I believe we need to look ahead, both to plot our own course and prepare for what is coming and even though we be separated by an Ocean we can still be on the same crew because we aren't as limited as they would like for us to believe. I've already posted a video Idea to Mars as Mars went direct yesterday on my YouTube channel and I posted a video a few weeks ago in tribute to Jupiter without the plan to do so on the Jupiter video, I just went out for a walk with the camera and it just happened. I realized what happened when I went through the footage and added my own flair to it, but the force is are strong now if you can attune to them.
