The Hidden Treasures: Episode 10001 - The Red Realm Rises: On Discipline, Devotion & the Game of Staying Alive

Ahoy dear readers and listeners,

Today you get mail from me twice, as I finally managed to sit down and write the first post introducing the deep dive maps of the 8 Territories of Mind and the 8 seas of Chaos. As we settle on deck of the Pippilotta with a fool crew of 23 Pirates, I had a lot to tend to. So much chatter on deck and everyone so excited about our expedition. It has been hard to carve out time for uninterrupted writing focus.

This week I also have been struggling with the Oath I made for my Chaos Monastic practice as well. I will probably share more about that in tonights live stream (the episode drop for next week).

I have had to come to admit: I am a workaholic. And now that my brain is detoxing the usual dopamine sources of weed, sex, sugar, and the social media scrolls since I left Meta two weeks ago… the only dopamine game in town (next to workouts, which have been unavaible due to a cold I don’t seem able to fully shake) is working on my project!

So I leaned into the edge and vowed that I will take 2 days off from working on the screens, plus do a morning walk before engaging my screens, and caping my screen time at 23:00 in the evening.

And geeez… my system is having a hard time adapting to that… like so many work hours now missing with so much to do. Rationally I know long term this commitment will yield positve effects, because - as I just wrote to my self in the last piece - we need to reclaim the right to rest, and I have internalized hustle culture to a high degree.

I am driven by the muses of creation on the one side, and on the other… well the relentless, restless dopamin seeking brain of a gemini moon that does not want to slow down, stop and feel whats up, but will rather ride the waves of inspiration and dopamine until exhaustion.

And then there is the part of me that feels driven by a plan for output and cerctain goalposts I want to meet and now feels betrayed that I have cut her off some valuable working time and forced her to chill, meet with friends and do body-stuff.

But a las… I know the whole of my system will benefit and I do need to practice what I preach.

So … I might not always be delivering posts and recordings in due time.
And I will have to practice patience with my self foremost, and ask for your patience secondly.

Before I tell you about last weeks episode, here the reminder, that we shall be online as well tonight at 19:30 CEST, as always with

, with the next episode of The Hidden Treasures.

Live from the Deck of the Pippolotta, today with our C1 - Transmissions.

And now to last weeks episode:

This is the first Episode of Season 1 - Live Transmissions from the Deck of the Pippolitta. Captain Obvious is back on the ship and the tenor of our transmissions will chage a little bit.

We are moving away from the fully unscripted riffing to discussing what the weeks explorations are yielding for us. We might even introduce some scripted segments.

In this episode we set the tone for the Voyage and explore how me might go about evolving our podcast format so we can include our readers more in whats happening on deck.

We explore:

  • Discipline as a devotional act, not a punishment.

  • The Inner Critic and how to flip the script.

  • How to ritualize the basics—movement, water, breath—as acts of rebellion.

  • Reclaiming the warrior body to hold more life-force, not aggression.

  • The role of cannabis and other allies in psychedelic nervous system regulation.

Join us for the next live video transmission 19:30 CEST - Tonight as we explore the treasures found by the Crew in the Red Territories.

    With Love and Chaos
